The August 2026 Women's Meeting was a resounding success, bringing together women from all three villages of Udo — Umunneorie, Umuofor, and Uhu Ala. The theme of this year's gathering was "Skills for Sustainable Livelihood", with a focus on equipping women with practical trade skills, financial literacy, and small-business management.
Empowerment & Community Impact
Beyond the training sessions, the August meeting served as a platform for strengthening bonds among Udo women. The event was graced by the presence of the Udo Women Leader, Lolo Nasa Onwukara, who encouraged participants to embrace entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
The August 2026 meeting has set a new standard for community-driven empowerment in Udo. Plans are already underway for a follow-up workshop in December, focusing on digital skills and e-commerce.
